It is one of the worst days on the calendar today: April Fools’ Day. Pranks, jokes, the works. For most people it’s a day of frustration. For the others, it’s their day to shine and create that sense of annoyance among their peers.

All jokes aside, the Islanders are back at it tonight. The Isles will host the Florida Panthers tonight at the Coliseum to kick off the final month of regular season play. With just eight games remaining on the schedule, the young roster will look to continue to win and prove their worth to the Islanders management and coaching staff. If nothing else, the Isles can end this season on a high note and have some positive vibes heading into October.

Across the Sound

On Monday, Victor Crus Rydberg and Kyle Burroughs signed amateur tryout contracts with the Sound Tigers. With many of the “former” Sound Tigers with the big club in Uniondale, the Sound Tigers are also seeing plenty of new faces this season.

Next up for the Isles AHL affiliate is an 11:00AM game at home against the Springfield Falcons.
